Roger Gill re-elected as Â鶹ÊÓƵ president
was re-elected as the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s (Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s) president for a second consecutive term at the organisation’s October board meeting.
The Board, which includes several new members, began its two-year mandate in October.
A long-standing Board member, Mr Gill is Non-Executive Director of Pacific Hydro, a renewable energy development company owned by State Power Investment Corporation of China (SPIC). He said: "I’m honoured to be re-elected as president of Â鶹ÊÓƵ at this crucial time in the clean energy transition.
“Sustainable hydropower is essential to achieve global net zero ambitions. It has a key role in the successful integration of more variable renewables in electricity grids. I am proud to lead the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Board’s efforts to reshape the policies, practices and perceptions around sustainable hydropower.â€
The inaugural meeting of the 2021 - 2023 Board on 21 October also saw the election of five Â鶹ÊÓƵ vice presidents:
