CarbonEthics and Â鶹ÊÓƵ partner up for a sustainable World Â鶹ÊÓƵ Congress

CarbonEthics and the Â鶹ÊÓƵ are partnering for the 2023 World Â鶹ÊÓƵ Congress to support accelerating decarbonisation through natural climate solutions in Indonesia.

Attendees to the Congress will be offered the opportunity to calculate their carbon footprint and contribute to offsetting through several Indonesian programmes managed by CarbonEthics. Options for offsetting include mangrove rehabilitation in Bintan and Kepulauan Seribu and coral restoration in Bali where the Congress will be held.

Announcing the partnership during the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s visit to Jakarta in the lead up to Congress, Agung Bimo Listyanu, director CarbonEthics said:

"It is a pleasure for CarbonEthics to be the official partner of 2023 World Â鶹ÊÓƵ Congress, hosted by Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Through the carbon calculator provided in the 2023 World Â鶹ÊÓƵ Congress, we can calculate our own carbon footprint, taking action to reduce what we can, and absorb what we can't through the Blue Carbon Package(s) from CarbonEthics."Ìý

Pablo Valverde, Deputy CEO for Â鶹ÊÓƵ said:Ìý

“We are delighted to be partnering with CarbonEthics for this year’s World Â鶹ÊÓƵ Congress. As an organisation that advocates sustainable hydropower, it is important to Â鶹ÊÓƵ that we walk the walk as much as we can when running our events. Providing our members and attendees of the Congress with the opportunity to measure and offset their carbon impact through CarbonEthic’s fantastic programmes, is a key part of our event sustainability strategy.â€Ìý
