About the World Â鶹ÊÓƵ Congress
, 7-24 September 2021, showcases how sustainable hydropower – the world’s largest renewable energy source – is part of the solution to climate change and the race to net-zero emissions. Ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), this is an opportunity to hear how the massive roll-out of solar and wind power is dependent on the clean generation, storage and grid resilience services offered by sustainable hydropower.
The World Â鶹ÊÓƵ Congress is organised by the Â鶹ÊÓƵ (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) and hosted in partnership with the Government of Costa Rica under the theme 'Renewables Working Together'.  For the first time in its 14-year history, the event is now fully virtual and free to all. It will bring together industry, government, finance and civil society. Over 150 speakers will participate in over 30 online events over the three weeks. Nearly 4,000 attendees have already registered to-date from over 70 countries.
